31.01.2008 - Cor Scorpii live at the Inferno festival Cor Scorpii will play two gigs at this year's Inferno festival in Oslo. On Wednesday the 19th of march, the band will perform at Subsonic Inferno, a new all age concept at  SubScene. The day after, Cor Scorpii will play the festival venue at John Dee. 30.11.2007 - Karmøygeddon Metal Festival 2008 Cor Scorpii will play at the Karmøygeddon Metal Festival 2008. The festival takes place on april 25-26th in Haugesund, Norway. Other bands include Finntroll, Volbeat, Taake, Vreid and more. Check out the festival website here.

15.10.2007 - Album news Hails! We have finished the recording of our full-length debut album. The album will be entitled Monument, and consists of eight brand new tracks. We are extremely pleased with the result, and are anxiously awaiting the release of the album. Both song writing and production are greatly improved, and we feel that the album has the potential to stand out in today's metal scene. 17.05.2007 - Studio booked Cor Scorpii will enter Top Room Studio in  July/august, to record their full-length debut album. The album will be released at the end of the year.
17.05.2007 - Cor Scorpii confirmed for the Støy festival Cor Scorpii have been confirmed for the Støy festival. The festival takes place on october 19th and 20th at Meieriet in Sogndal, Norway. For more information about the festival, check out Stoy.no.
17.05.2007 - New drummer announced We are very pleased to announce Ole "Vargon" Nordsve (Celebratum, The Embraced, ex-Hellstorm) as Cor Scorpii's new drummer. Nordsve has a lot of experience, and will contribute with great speed and technical ability.
17.05.2007 - J ørn Holen leaves Cor Scorpii After the release of the Attergangar-demo,,Cor Scorpii parted ways with Jørn Holen, due to his obligation to Vreid, and his domestic situation. We wish him all the best for the future. Be sure to check out Vreid's brilliant new album "I krig".

06.10.2006 - Attergangar - Demo of the month "Attergangar" was demo of the month in the september issue of Metal Hammer Germany, one of the biggest magazines in Germany.
11.08.2006 - Cor Scorpii signs with Descent Productions Cor Scorpii has signed a deal with Dutch label Descent Productions. The band is currently working on new material, and the debut album is set for an early 2007 release. The new material can be described as a continuation of "Attergangar”, with an even more epic and sombre feel to it.

20.04.2006 - Cor Scorpii merchandise available There are now a limited number of t-shirts and longsleeves availible. The first ever Cor Scorpii merchandise is designed by tattoo artist Fred Ivar Falck Husum. The shirts can be bought directly from this site (e-mail Gaute Refsnes), at the Midgardsormen Webshop/ store in Sogndal or at Wolf's Lair in Oslo. There are also a few copys of the Attergangar demo left, so be sure to pick one up before it's too late. Pictures and information about prizes and sizes can be found under Merch.

The mix of the Attergangar-demo has been delayed, because of the recording of the new Vreid album. The mix will be done by Cor Scorpii and Stig Ese Eliassen at Studio 1184 in november.

Welcome to the official Cor Scorpii website!
We have just finished the recording of our first demo Attergangar. The demo consists of four tracks entitled Fall of man, Attergangar, Transcendental Journey and Når enden er god. The drums were recorded at Studio 1184, while the rest of the music was recorded at Amla Metal Studio in july. The demo will be mixed at Studio 1184 in September by Cor Scorpii and Stig Ese Eliassen.
